Yuta Falls is centered around an ancient mill, which once served as a log flume for the Yuta people's logging operation. As told in queue murals, when overlogging and extensive mining work resulted in the Yuta people becoming trapped underground by an earthquake, they resolved to live more in balance with nature upon being guided back to the surface by the Emerald Serpent [[Matugani]]. The water mill's flume was converted into an aqueduct to sustain Namua, the Totara tree embedded into the entrance of the [[Totara Market]].

* The original load station and control system for Yuta Falls was destroyed during the park's construction by a fire accident that took place on the night of March 10, 2022, resulting in the attraction missing the first season. Faced with a common enemy, the four realms worked together with the Tamariki to trap Volkanu in the volcano and forged the Ora Tika Idol in the process. Seeking to atone for their actions, the Mura pledged to guard the idol and peace reigned on the island for many years. However, the idol was stolen and Volkanu has escaped, transforming the thieves into a set of cursed Tiki statues to guard the idol and is plotting his next move.

Much of the story is recapped in the attraction's pre-show video where an unseen Hulaka, the Tamariki of Strength, recruits guests to help recover the idol with the Inferno Transports, vehicles built with the cooperation of the four realms and armed with Thermal Equalizers, energy guns harnessing the magical power of all four elements that can harm Volkanu and his lava minions. Passing through a second queue room with a firepit illuminating shadows of characters from all the realms, guests pass by an animatronic of Tago Nui, the Mura Shaman, who offers encouragement and a lead on the idol's location at the Forbidden Grotto before guests pick up their 3D glasses and arrive at the load station.

=== Ride Experience ===
Departing from the load station's shrine to the Ora Tika Idol, Hulaka narrates our journey. Traveling through the jungle past skeletal remains embedded in the rock, guests enter the Forbidden Grotto. Destroying the six Tiki statues guarding the Ora Tika, the Ora Tika is beamed aboard the Inferno Transport, only for Volkanu to emerge and give chase. Traveling past falling lava bombs back to the Mura temple complex, Tago Nui magically appears via a "Pepper's ghost" effect to tell us to quickly get to the Altar of Fire before a live flame blast emerges from behind a nearby wall. The Inferno Transports travel past wobbling pillars and carved faces before confronting an animatronic three headed lava beast. Descending deeper into the volcano and blasting through a set of carved faces, a swarm of lava snakes, scorpions and bats rush the Inferno Transports. Descending deeper into the lava caves where evil grinning faces emerge from the rocks, a large animatronic lava bat unfolds its wings and screeches at guests from its perch. Turning away from the bat, a volcano shaped face roars at the guests with flashing eyes. The Inferno Transports are confronted by a pair of lava giants throwing balls of fire while lava bats and snakes rush down the corridor. Pushing forward, a giant lava snake destroys the bridge only to be shot down, allowing for the Inferno Transport to jump the gap. Finally the Inferno Transports arrive at the Temple of Fire's inner sanctum. Lava bats and flaming skulls rush forward as the Inferno Transport places the Ora Tika back into place, but Volkanu soon emerges and begins crawling forward towards the guests, only for the idol's power to prevent him from leaving the room, with his flaming hands opening the door to try and reach the guests one last time before being pulled back in. Hulaka congratulates guests for saving the island as a screen shows the guests' scores and on-ride pictures, though the leering fiery face of Volkanu serves as one last jump scare before the Inferno Transports return to the loading platform.

Skyborne is themed as the laboratories and library of the Udara Society. The attraction's queue features murals telling the story of the Udaran floating city, its destruction during Volkanu's first emergence and the Udaran's attempts at reaching for the sky with towers and experimental flying machines, interspersed with blueprints for flying machines, a photo-opportunity with a Udara glider, and bookshelves containing what survived from the fall or has been written since. Entering an observatory for the pre-show, First Librarian Duwi welcomes guests to take part as volunteers in a levitation experiment with a machine attached to Skyborne's tower, noting how much trouble they've had with sustaining levitation for more then a few seconds, but fully confident it'll work out this time. However, as with any drop tower experience, what goes up must come down.
