Ara Matua is the park's main street and the first realm you visit immediately after the ticket taker. It is home to Guest Relations, Lockers, Rentals and the largest gift shop in the park, Island Emporium. It is also a regular gathering place for the park's walkaround characters.

Trivia
- There are at least two Tamariki statues here.
- Near the edge of the water, there is a large emblem in the pavement. The center icon is the main park logo, and the four around it are for the four different realms of the park.
