While 2023 may be different, there were a few ways to save money at Lost Island Themepark opening year.
If you know anything we missed, let us know and we will get it updated.
Ticket Discounts
- Online - Purchasing tickets online could lower the $52 front gate price to $45-$49 depending on the day. For instance, online was $48 versus $52 on the day we went. Tickets must be purchased before Midnight of the previous day, so you can't just show up and expect to buy tickets on your phone at the front gate.
- Two Day - Discounted mutli-day tickets were offered, but were for two days back-to-back.
- Event Days - The park offers various discount days throughout the season ranging from parent/grandparent discount days to free parking during local events like My Waterloo Days in June or the Iowa Irish Fest in August.
Refill Discounts
The park offers two types of refill discounts:
- Lost Island Refill Mug - Buy the souvenir plastic mug for $20 and get free refills all day at the two sit-down restaurants. (Snack stands that served drinks were no allowed to offer refills there.) Or, for $35 you could have refills all season long. With a soda being around $4, if you drink more than five in a day, this can save you money.
- Normal Refill Cup - Adult beverages were served in a Lost Island Waterpark/Themepark refill cup that give $1 off refills. This worked on beers and frozen cocktails.
