Mura is the first realm counter-clockwise from the Ara Matua entrance area. It is home to four rides, First Aid, restrooms, one shop, one snack stand and one interactive exhibit.
It is themed to fire, and features a large volcano which houses the Volkanu dark ride. Mura has a fearsome reputation as a warrior culture and during the great imbalance of power on the island, turned that strength against their neighbors in various raids. However this greed fueled the rogue Tamariki Kanu's transformation into Volkanu and his eruption would destroy their village. After the four realms united to seal Volkanu, the Mura sought to atone by guarding the Ora Tika idol and taking on a protective role over the island in general. A more positive display of their athleticism, the Cinder Festival, is held every four years and the thrilling attractions found throughout the realm reflect the tests of strength and courage within the Cinder Festival events, with Fire Runner being the grand finale event.

Characters
Mura has eight named villagers
- Ula the knife sprinter and captain of the guard, appeared as a meet and greet character from 2023-2024.
- Kolvak the war hero and a lieutenant of the Mura guard, appears as a meet and greet character
- Marru the speardancer, serves as a Mura guide character in the Lost Island App
- Vayla the Apprentice Shaman, serves as a Mura guide character in the Lost Island app and the champion depicted on Fire Runner's lead car. Began appearing as a meet and greet character in 2025.
- Mavennia the fire tumbler
- Pak the treasure hoarder, namesake of the Pak'n Heat hot sauce sold at the park.
- Tago Nui, the current head shaman of the Mura that appears as an animatronic in the Volkanu attraction
- Makatu, the deceased and unseen namesake of the Makatu Shrine, said to be a "lone wolf" warrior that attempted the impossible on his own.

- Treasure Cache - "exit through the gift shop" at Volkanu.
Shows
- Mura Games - Introduced in 2025 as an early afternoon activity. Characters invite kids to the Makatu Shrine to compete in Mura themed games and become honorary warriors.
- Fire Dancers - Introduced for July's Island Nights in 2025, from the Wisconsin group Cirque du Cham.
