The Makatu Shrine is the Mura Realm's interactive feature, being an interactive fountain. Located in front of the volcano, the shrine honors a fallen Mura named Makatu who attempted the impossible on his own. Guests can place their hands onto eight hand-shaped markers on hardened lava at the front of the shrine and control different geysers within the hot spring. Adding more hands activates more fountains and a full activation represents an awakening of the shrine's full elemental power.
