About the Area Info Box

The Tamariki Spirit Realm is Lost Island's children's area. Themed as a whimsical garden full of colors, the realm is the home of the Tamariki, the hooded childlike nature spirits that maintain the balance between the four elements existing on the island.

Characters

Within the park's storyline, there are 22 known named Tamariki, two of which no longer exist as they became the Ora Tika statue and Volkanu respectively. Each Tamariki represents a different thing described as "something best shared with one another" and each realm has a specific Tamariki representative. Tamarikis come in four different body designs and around five color palettes representing the realms.

For list organization purposes, the Tamariki will organized by design under the names of the four Tamariki used in the "full cast" character lineups seen on park maps and certain signage.

• Aoka, Tamariki of Friendship, blue Tamariki that serves as the park's main walkaround mascot and narrates the Lost Island App's cutscenes.
  • Neelu, Tamariki of Wisdom, green Tamariki that serves as the realm's representative.
  • Lalo, Tamariki of Laughter, pink
  • Bindu, Tamariki of Kindness, purple
  • Yuba, Tamariki of Direction, brown-red
  • Kanu, (former) Tamariki of Wealth, black and white, transformed into Volkanu.
  • Tika, (former) Tamariki of Stories, purple and gold, transformed into the Ora Tika statue.
• Hulaka, Tamariki of Strength, brown-red skinny Tamariki that serves as Mura's representative and narrates Volkanu: Quest for the Golden Idol
  • Kahana, Tamariki of Puzzles, blue Tamariki that serves as the namesake of Kahana Games
  • Oma, Tamariki of Chance, green Tamariki that serves as the namesake of Oma Arcade
  • Piku, Tamariki of Forgotten Items, pink

Trivia

• The word "Tamariki" is derived from the Maori word for children. Besides reflecting the land's focus on child friendly rides, this can also be seen with the Tamariki characters themselves, with Aoka and Hulaka having youthful childlike voices in the Lost Island App and Volkanu: Quest for the Golden Idol respectively.
